Default Can\'t access one website only.

For about 3-4 days now I've been unable to get to www.mansion.com. I keep getting the same errors:

http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/9449/mansim3.jpg
http://img122.imageshack.us/img122/3218/mans2il2.jpg

Nobody else is having any problems so I assume it's on my end somewhere. My first thought was some sort of java problem, but I've reinstalled java runtime and should have the newest version. Somehow I am being blocked from this site and only this site as every place else is just fine. It's the same thing with Firefox, IE, and Opera. I've tried shutting off different programs and different internet settings and nothing is working. I use Zone Alarm Security Suite and Avast, but turning one of them off at a time did nothing. I'm out of ideas of what the problem could be.

Any suggestions?

Clear your cache, cookies, and/or try another browser? 1st things that come to mind.

did 'em, tried three different browsers, no dice.

edit: cache and cookies from one browser would not effect another, right?

cache per browser should be separate, but there are several programs claiming to be different browsers that are just IE skins...some of those may share their cookies/cache with IE but I'm not certain.

Not sure what else to check besides clearing your temp files, but I doubt that will fix it. I thought about checking your hosts file (C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc/hosts) but I doubt this is a DNS related issue since mansion apparently isn't being redirected. It's prolly not a Browser Helper Object issue unless all 3 browsers you used were IE or IE skins...I don't know, man...thinking but not coming up w/ anything.

Assuming CrapCleaner does a good job of clearing temp files that didn't do anything either.

If you get any ideas please let me know. I'm pretty confused and desperate here.

Thanks.

it could actually be a problem with your hosts file like BPN said.

do you have IIS setup on your computer? it looks like it's not hitting mansion.com and redirecting to 127.0.0.1 and you're getting your own default "under construction" page.

weird.

good call, goldtoes...I didn't think about a local instance of IIS. Open a cmd window (start/run/cmd) and type:

ping mansion.com

you should see a line like:

Pinging mansion.com [85.159.120.30] with 32 bytes of data:

If it shows 127.0.0.1 there or some other non-mansion address let us know

Could be a problem with the DNS. Does http://85.159.120.30/ get you there?
