Jimmy Rollins - Philly sports talk radio rant

First off, I am a die hard baseball fan and I love the Phillies. However, I get tilted so bad when I hear uneducated morons on Philly sports talk radio saying Rollins is the best shortstop in the league. The idiot host Angelo, for those who know him, was saying Rollins is number one in the league, and Jeter is now second. WTF? Do you even watch baseball. Rollins is the third best shortstop in the division. He put up career numbers offensively this year and he still didn't top Hanley Ramirez. Also, he is very overrated defensively, as he has average range at best, and Hanley and Reyes are 10 times better.

Rollins fielding % = .985
Reyes fielding % = .982
Ramirez fielding % = .963

rollins had 11 erros
reyes had 12 erros
ramirez had 24 erros

good call on the defense

I'm not gonan go into hitting, but Hanley did better than the other two, but Rollins was clutch. you have to admit that

Rollins is a much better fielder then Ramirez... probably enough that he is more valuable overall. Reyes is a better fielder though, despite his extra 1! error...

Reyes is overrated imo. More flash than anything else. Ramirez is underrated obv, except on this board. Rollins is probably fairly rated (but most people dont realize that his defense is quite good.) If he wins MVP he'll be overrated. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
