Software for playing online

Like many players I'm still quite weak in my Omaha Hi game. I've played a lot of NL and LHE and thus become quite accustomed to using PokerTracker and AceHud to help accelerate my learning. My question is: Is this still relevant to Omaha? Can you really use PokerTracker when the equity difference between two hands is so minimalist? I find it difficult to see how AF% would have an impact given that people very rarely bluff in Omaha.

Where can I find content about good vp$ip, AF figures to maintain, etc'?

I doubt it applies in that you can see who is a good player from just looking at stats

That's exactly what I was thinking... Keen to hear from more players as to how neccessary it really is, I don't think it would be anywhere near as much as NLHE.

You need to talk about the stakes and type of plo you want to play. full ring vs 6-max vs hu. Search past threads on vpip for some discussions.

IMO, it is not so much a 'these are the numbers you should shoot for if you want to be a winning player' type of thing as it is a comparable statistical rate between your opponents. At least at the higher limits where you see the same players every day, you can personally gauge how loose, agressive, tight, etc a player is playing, then looking at their stats, compare it to newer player's numbers and from there, adjust your play accordingly. That's just one way that I use the same programs.. There are obviously plenty others.

Instead of looking at preflop hand strengths, do it on different flops of hands that you have played. Then go back and analyze your play on the flop.
