Im not that surprised that rolled up aces and kings are not that profitable for you. In order to get maximum value out of those hands your opponent would need to trip as well. Of course it could also be sample size.

I'll take the occasional month off. This might seem extreme to some of you, but there is life outside of poker.

Not extreme, just delusional. Life is sum of the intervals between hands.

I took a very long break from poker to pursue hobbies and life, and it was good for me. By the time I came back I was hungry for poker, paying much more attention, and I started to learn other games. When I left I was so sick of limit holdem I could hardly stand it.

I'm running worse when rolled up than you are lol. Can't censored win any big pot when monsterously ahead on sixth street at all so I know how you feel diamond. I'm on a major 200+ BB bad streak of my own in three days lol. Out of that I know I did make a few mistakes and those are killing me inside a bit worse but capping every street then getting two outered by a guy chasing threes and twos when you were rolled up and went completely nutso every street is annoying lol. Sometimes you've just got to ride it out or like they said--take a break. I've actually played somewhat better (of course I made some boneheaded plays during this stretch--one thinking I had a low in stud 8 and I didn't doh) during this run then I did when I was on an upswing so it's irritating me.

Instead of going over the big pots you get sucked out on you might want to think about the smaller pots. Big pots are easy to play, smalls pots leave room for enormous error. Also make sure that you are not playing big pots in spots where you should be playing small pots, this is something that can happen easily when you have been losing a lot.

I assume you mean cases where one raises with AAK in first position, yet knowing clear-well that 6 other's behind him are going to call regardless, bloating the pot.

Well, I'm nearly at a 300bb downswing myself at 1/2, over the last 13k hands. I'm at -250bb right now for that period, losing at a rate of -2.1bb/100. Awesome. At the same time I am murdering .5/1 for 3bb/100. It's very frustrating. Very hard to tell if I'm playing badly, or what. I suspect that when I lose 20bb in a session I start playing worse. Or maybe I always just play bad and I've had good luck until now. Anyway. I feel your pain etc.
