Default perceived nit v perceived call station -- 3/6 nl cash river spot

we've been playing for over an hour. in the first few minutes we played some big pots with marginal hands. since then, he's backed off -- during the past half hour i've probably won about 85% of the hands

also he hasn't shown a bluff for more than $50. he hasn't made an overbet -- most of his bets are about half the pot.

his read of me: an idiot call station. i know this because he said, "you idiot call station." he seems to be waiting for me to stack off.

stacks: 750 or so
he limps. i reraise with 67s to 24 (he's been folding to this a lot). he calls.

flop (48)
9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
i pot. he calls.

turn (144)
7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
i lead for 101. he calls.

river (344)
9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
i . . . check. he pushes for 575. i . . .

...vomit.

Tough one that.

I would probably fold. I dont think he would flat call preflop and the flop with an overpair. Seems like he hit the 9 but the 2nd 7 scared him and when he hit the boat he pushed making it look like a scared bet. (Especially since he thought you were a calling station as well.)

yup i like the vomit and fold line. He thinks you are a call station and he doesn't make big bluffs. I doubt he is vbetting an overpair on this board, or a 7 for that matter.

If he had a flush draw + over or some other combo draw, he'd probably raise the flop trying to get it in. His action makes perfect sense to have a 9.

I fold and feel pretty good about it.

instafold, though 55 and 66 are in his range - where's Thi at when you need it?

gotta fold especially if he perceives you as "idiot calling station" he's not doing this without a 9
