What are your typical bet sizes? If you never bluff half pot bets on the river, sure, the 50 works... but if you put in some 1/2 pot bets vs weakness on scary boards as bluffs sometimes on the river, as I do, this is a situation when i'd be 1/2 pot betting for value, not pot betting.

in this villain's 'being all over the place', how much of it was on the river? I assume those pushes you described were preflop?

Why don't you raise the flop?

If he donks and you got top pair, punish him!

IMO thats pretty terrible, he has air 90% of the time why do we want him to stop betting?

Also this is a pretty gross spot i lean towards a fold cause I think a largish portion of his donking range is A high hands.

But saying that when im playing i call here 90% of the time and thats prob bad

You want to protect your hand. It is very hard to continue when the turn brings an overcard.

a worse hand usually doesn't call a raise and you're usually not folding out a better hand with a raise. Don't give up EV just so it's easier to play. I raise here sometimes to protect my bluff raises against devent, observing opponents, but against this particular villian, it's probably best to let him keep bluffing.

The river Vbet is automatic, and I think I fold to the C/R. I think it's close, but i think you're beat vs. this opponent far too often to call with 2.74:1 odds. His flop donk indicates a complete bluff (a lot of his bluffing range includes an A), 53, or a set trying to be tricky(very unlikely, but possible).

I fold this most of the time. At least at 100NL, I never see river c/r bluffs.
