BB is a lag. No stats. They disappeared right before the hand and then is my 3rd hand at the table. Me and villain have some small history though. THEN RAISE A TURN -RAISE/CAP GS *****Turn***** -WAITS TO C/R TP -C BETS TURN IN POSITION WITH NO SD HAND ON A9X TWO TONE CHECKS THROUGH RIVER -CALL FLOP RAISE TURN IN CAPPED POT WITH UNDERPAIR - CALLSDOWN 3-BET *****River**** - I know nothing about SB. I open A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] OTB. SB calls. BB calls. Flop 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] SB donks. BB raises. I unhappily fold. I guess the only other option is 3-bet. Seems like such a spew though.

i don't see why this is a hard spot for you. SB could easily have an 8 or something like Jh9h/Ah5h. BB's range is similar 3-way but it also includes some 2s like A2o/any suited 2. i bet most of your notes are from headsup pots against preflop raisers. this one's different because he is taking aggressive action against one player who is unlikely to fold anything with the preflop raiser yet to act. if you have the best hand here your equity is not great, and you don't have the best hand very often. seems like a very straightforward fold.
if you had 55 i could see this as a WTF i'm sad spot.

not saying that we should continue, but I think that AK is a better hand than 55 here. we beat the same draws but now we have outs vs 8x and we have a redraw if someone pairs up on the turn. with AK we are losing vs 33/44 but that's not too many hands
just did some stoving and we have like 3.5% more equity with AsKs than 5d5s, and 6% more if our AK had a heart it's like 12.5% vs 16% though so it's still a fold edit: it sounds better if we look at it that that AK has 35% more equity than 55 in this spot, and 48% more if we had a heart
