this is considerably more interesting than people are giving it credit. That transaction is certainly very very worrysome if its true. [/ QUOTE ] Couldn't this just be a bet on the subprime crisis? |

[ QUOTE ] help [/ QUOTE ] At your service. What's up? [/ QUOTE ] hah...he was answering my quesiont about a terrorist attack. personally, I think I disagree, Im not sure, the whole running platform is how well they have secured america, and how we are fighting the war abroad rather than bringing it home. It seems liek democrats are salivating at the political repercussions of a terror attack. |

[/ QUOTE ]\ boboman, I havent really been following things closely, and dont know much about the industry, but is the consensus that this really is a crisis? Wouldnt you have to have a mortal lock to bet that much for a relatively small return? |

Re: Fear of a False Flag
Elections don't really mean anything. The few that aren't controlled by the illuminati have no chance of winning. When Bush leaves the White House and is replaced by someone else he will continue their agenda.
Martial law may happen but it is too soon I think. |

this is considerably more interesting than people are giving it credit. That transaction is certainly very very worrysome if its true. [/ QUOTE ] The article is very poorly written. It says the investor "placed" the put options (which implies he sold them), but you make money when you sell a put option when the price of the investment doesnt fall to the strike price. Since he is the buyer of the put option then he's probably hedging a long position with a very cheap insurance policy. Also since its a put on the Eurostoxx 50, that implies a fear of a 9/11 type attack in Europe. |

[ QUOTE ] Also since its a put on the Eurostoxx 50, that implies a fear of a 9/11 type attack in Europe. [/ QUOTE ] Does that change anything? [/ QUOTE ] It depends on your perspective. A major attack in Europe would hurt the markets here, but far than it would hurt the stoxx50. It would also be a wakeup call that its not just IEDs that need to be protected against, firming up Republican chances, which, if they prevailed would avoid the hits the markets will take with a Democratic administration. However, I don't believe the article. It would have hit the financial news networks by now. |
