Pretty much already been covered, but I wanted to point out that a shove is better than a call because you don't want a scare card to peel killing your action.

No way. Hero calls quickly. Raise or bet any river for value IMO.

Shoving will probably make him fold a smaller pair, and since we are not folding, we might as well extract the maximum while ahead.
