Default monitor for laptop

i'm looking at getting a better monitor for my laptop...right now i have a dell inspiron 9300, 17' widescreen yada yada...

i wanna get this: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/produ...mp;sku=222-7175

but not sure...i was thinking I could perhaps buy instead a new plamsa flat screen tv and hook up to that to get more outta a new purchase...but i'm a bit concerned about image quality.

i basically just want to be able to 6+ table with no overlap, and not sacrificing picture.

any advice/thoughts are welcome.

thanks.

Default Re: monitor for laptop

1) DO NOT use a plasma TV for long-term poker playing. It will stuff up the screen through burn-in.

2) a 30" monitor requires dual-link DVI. read the faq for more info.

3) to 6+ table with no overlap, the cheapest way is to buy multiple 20" 1600x1200 resolution monitors
