Gorilla Math much?

Poker income is already taxed. If you don't pay you are evading taxes.

Your 30% Roi would become a post tax 20% ROI just like it should be now.

The additional tax will be on the rake and have no effect on the player. (unless the rake increases, which I doubt)

You do know you're supposed to pay income tax on your poker winnings now, right?

The point isn't at all the same, because in your chicken little, backwards math example, playing resulted in a loss of money. So the real point, again, is that you're an idiot.

A mod should also edit Gary the Goat's post for idiocy. That post did more to "implicate" BG than anything Seif has said.

Barry G. is way to optimistic...I think Barry is way out of his area of expertise on this one...On one of the radio shows he called Barney Frank a Senator (incorrect) and he said that Frank told him that as soon as he got the votes the bill would be put up for vote...Barry took this too mean that it would pass soon...not true, since this line is told to all constituents who have pending legislation...Barry does not really understand "the process" or "the politics" involved in passing a bill (especially one involving gambling). The odds are probably closer to 3 to 1 against. (Remember next year is an election year...nobody votes for gambling bills in an election year).

I agree. Barry is being way too optimistic. Getting what he wants done is alot more complicated and alot of these politicians are, just that, politicians. They will tell you that the sky is red if they thought you wanted to hear that. So the fact that he is getting a good response from these guys is not shocking.

Its not like he got them to sign a letter swearing that they would vote for the bill.

I hope i am wrong and Barry has his pulse on the situation, but i don't think online poker will be made legal that soon.
