Default Re: Won entry in to casino tourney - Need to learn hold em in a day

Tourney is next Tuesday. The issue I see is that she probably won't ever play poker after this, so she will probably refuse to read a book. I remember reading an article about some beginner that did decent just playing top hands and then pushing some certain % of top hands when the blinds were high. I just dont't remember what the range was or how the style was when the blinds were low. Anyone know what I'm referring to?

i think there have been some successful push bots that just go all in with AA-TT and AK, maybe a little broader range. Something like that might be the best idea, just give her a range of hands to push with pf since she will almost certainly be out played in any hand post flop. Is the entry transferable? can she let you play in the tourney and you guys can split the winnings?

Nice find there, a bit lengthy, but definitely worth the read for a beginner.
