Default Sketchy Internet \"pharmacies\"

OK, I know there are legit online pharmacy providers where you can get a prescription filled, like drugstore.com. I am not talking about those places.

I am talking about stuff like this comment "Recently I had a friend give me some viagra he got off the internet" from this DonkeyKongSr thread.

I'm assuming this is from some "Buy Viagra online" place that I see spam for all the time.

So, here's my question. Are many people actually taking drugs from these places? Is this becoming a standard way for people to just order whatever prescription drug they want? I am not just talking impotence pills, but really any prescription pill these places sell.

Basically, I was pretty surprised to read that. The idea of taking a pill that comes from some random online site seems super sketch to me. Am I just behind the times here or do most people feel the same way?

I am taking drugs from an Internet site like that. They come shipped in blisters with lot numbers and expiration dates just like you'd get at the pharmacy. They are effective, safe, and most of all, cheap.

i ordered ritalin from a site like this once. it was the sketchiest thing i have ever seen in my life - it came in an unmarked envelope from [censored] Pakistan (the site is British) with no return address, held together by packing tape. it was just the blister packs wrapped in a few sheets of paper and held together by tape. no invoice, nothing.

but the drugs were real, factory sealed, etc, as kyle said. it was still so sketchy i never did it again.

I don't buy drugs for recreational use, which I guess I should mention. The source that I use doesn't have adderall, mainly because it's heavily scheduled and hard to get (though it is possible from what I hear).

The drugs I take are:
-Ambien (I suffer from chronic insomnia; had a script for it but takes forever to get filled; I'm not spending a day more in those sleep torture labs)
-Modafinil (experimented with this as a performance-enhancing drug to get work done and stay alert for days - doesn't seem to work for me, I no longer take this)

My friends have used the same source to order diazepam, hydrocodone, and a host of all other sorts of fun drugs, but I use the place because I am simply not paying $4/pill for Ambien and for expensive visits since they refuse to prescribe me more than 3-7 pills at a time.

kyle,

Which pharmacy and how did you pick it?

If you had a prescription, then I assume you did this just for price.

If you DIDN'T have a prescription:

Do you have insurance with a prescription plan? If so, why did you not go to a doctor and get a prescription and then get it covered by insurance? Was it still cheaper this way?

Last time I got a prescription, it was for hydrocodone after my wisdom teeth, and I just got it at Walgreen's or something. Hopefully I won't need a prescription anytime soon, but if I do, I'm wondering if it makes sense to be looking into this online stuff at all. I'm probably too scared to do it, though, even w/ legit looking packs I think I'd be too worried about fake stuff.

I am with you EL D. I have wanted to get some adderall off one of these sites in the past, but it seems way to sketchy. From what I gather these places aren't really legal and aren't regulated in anyway. There is no real assurance that the pills are safe or work.

the problem with most of these vendors is not the reliability of the product.

ElD,

I can't reveal the name of the pharmacy inline, but I can PM it to you if you are interested. I found it by a referral from a popular and reliable forum dedicated to ordering medication online.

I did not have a prescription at the time - filling the script is damn near impossible, costs a ton, and they might make me stay overnight in a sleep lab to study me before prescribing it.

I don't have comprehensive insurance (high deductible plan + HSA). The place I use is legitimate, but like NT! said, ordering it and receiving it is really, really sketchy. You get used to huge white envelopes from Turkey stuffed with paper coming every third week when you're paying 15% of the drug's cost and not going to the doctor, though.

Hmm, I'm curious about this. I've ordered Tramadol from one of these places before (mild painkiller) but it wasn't nearly as sketchy as described. It's probably not nearly as heavily scheduled as hydrocodone, adderall, and the like, none of which the place I used sold.

However, if anyone knows a reliable way to get the good stuff, PM me! My adderall prescription is almost out...
