Default To value bet or not to value bet?

Villain is 27/7/3.8, doesn't seem very bright but not horrible either.

Poker Stars, $0.50/$1 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players
LegoPoker Hand History Converter

Hero (CO): $101
BTN: $92.90
SB: $101
BB: $60.20
UTG: $100.70

Pre-Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (CO)
UTG folds, Hero raises to $3.50, BTN calls $3.50, SB folds, BB calls $2.50

Flop: ($11) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 Players)
BB checks, Hero checks, BTN checks

Turn: ($11) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 Players)
BB checks, Hero checks, BTN bets $5, BB folds, Hero calls $5

River: ($21) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)

?

I'm pretty sure he doesn't have an ace so do you prefer to bet or c/c?

He's got a sick AF, I'd be c/c here all day especially since he can be betting clubs or spades and he's probably not calling a bet with like king high or with 55.

I'm for c/c. There's a bunch of missed draws and bluffs.

Check and let him bluff the river. I agree, he probably wouldnt have checked with top pair in a multi-way pot like that if he's "not horrible." Checking gives him a chance to bluff a missed flush-draw.

Leading would be bad as he might actually fold something less than your K9.

I'd just bet the flop and be done with it

theres not much hes gonna call a bet with that you beat right? and he bet the turn, if hes betting air everything missed so he won't have trouble firing a second barrell... pretty easy c/c imo

I think even with 2 villains I still bet this flop. Not sure if that is good or bad.

I was going to check/fold that flop but when he bet the turn it was like wtf? so I decided to check/call the river but he checked behind with 88.

I like check calling on river. ya it's unlikely that he has the A but he is not likely to call your bet. otoh if you check you give him a chance to bet worse hands.
