Default *Info Needed* - Spa Resort Casino in Palm Springs

I'll be in Palm Springs this Thursday for one night. I'd like to play poker at the Spa Resort Casino bc it's near my motel. I called their poker room - the floor person said they always have a 3/6 game spread. Does anyone know anything about this card room? Is the Agua Caliente or the Morongo a better option? FWIW, I'm from Tucson and play in a small card room so I don't need a nice place.

I did a search for 'Palm Springs' in B&M and only found info on Mo and Ag Ca. Cheers!

Both get decent action (in a 3-6 kinda way).
Average age of poker player
Agua Caliente = 65
Morongo = 35

sort of depends on what you're looking for. here's a few items to ponder.

1. Morongo is 18 and up. You'll get lots of "kids" wanting to play NL like they see on T.V.

2. Spa & Agua Caliente are owned by the same tribal group and are kinda like 2 halves of the same whole. these places are 21 and up, so not nearly as many kids. Mainly older, retired (read wealthier) players that prefer to play LIMIT poker.

3. If you want to play NL, head to Morongo. If you want to play limit, head to Spa or A.C. The $25-$50 game (kill) at A.C. is supposed to be the best game in the state at that limit. (read profitable)

The Spa in P.S. is very nice. The poker room is "small" compared to some places, but quite nice. Action is good. They do spread 3/6 and 4/8. They may even spread a N/L game now (I haven't been there in over a year). I highly recommend this place if you don't want to drive.

Morango is nice.

A.C. is not too far from downtown. It's out near the freeway. So it's closer than Morango.

There are a couple of places east of Indio too - Fantasy Springs and Trump Spotlight 29. Those may be closer than Morango, but I am not sure.
