2/4NL Hand from a coaching session
I don't have the hand history from this so I'm gonna go off memory here. Button/SB are both shortstack donks. Button is super passive preflop running like 32/5.
Hero opens for $16 in the CO with J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Button call, and SB calls. Flop ($52) 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] SB checks, Hero bets $40, button calls, SB folds Turn ($132)9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Hero checks, button shoves for $164, Hero?? This spot is super marginal and I'm wondering what people think is best here. Is this an easy fold, or does he show up with stupid stuff enough here to warrant a call? From what I've seen he likes to peel flops, and will often bet the turn when checked to, but this is over a very small sample. |

Re: 2/4NL Hand from a coaching session
if he peels flops so he can bet when checked to, this is a call.
if he is really passive like u said in the begining, its a fold. I think Im leaning toward a fold either way if I had to pick |

nah man, this type of player if he has something will usually check behind or will like tank it down and then bet 1/4 pot
shove to me means you should call |

Re: 2/4NL Hand from a coaching session
with a read of super passive I think you have to fold here - these types of guys aren't often turning worse pairs into bluffs here and a nine or flush draw certainly makes up a significant chunk of his flop calling range anyway

passive pf==///////////////////= passive postflop [/ QUOTE ] Yea he was way more passive pre than post. He didn't raise a lot of flop bets but everytime a turn was checked to him he bet it from what I saw. |
