I was Hero here. It was a good session, quite informative.

to jfish, I dont see him folding that card after he called a flop bet, so please explain your thinking?

the problem here in my mind was 2 fold:
1. very passive player pf.
2. seemed to fire anytime he was checked to. my read was typically close to pot with weak hand and half pot or less with strong hand.

so, 1 suggests a fold. 2 suggests a call and 2b suggests a call based on bet sizing.

so we called and were showed Js5s...obv villain is obviously an expert player

[/ QUOTE ]

bolded is exactly why he wants to shove the turn probs.

would be intersting to know how much he bet the times before, when the turn was checked to him.
its pretty close but when people (esp half-stack donks) shoves when a scare card hits its very often a retarded bluff.

i dont get why shoving should be any better than c/c or c/f...

I'd say c/f. This is a particularly bad card.

You also want to make a note here that villain is clueless. These type of villains can be a bit tough to handle because they'll make moves which are incredibly badly timed. They will make aggressive moves *with the goods* when hero shows signs of weakness AND the board gets uglier.

c/c seems better than shoving with your read.

I think you should replace super passive preflop to super loose preflop. since that's what you really mean. So in that case, he's super passive preflop but aggressive postflop considering how he bets when checked too.

Once you check the turn, I thought it was kind of obvious that you had to call now considering how you underrepresented your hand.

I don't see how this can be a bluff nearly enough to call here. That 9s is the worst possible card that could fall on the turn and hits a huge part of his flop calling range.

Are you having trouble with this hand because you want to know if you should bet the turn? Not sure what the confusion really is. He's passive, and it's a pretty bad turn card for you. You beat complete air, some mid pair hands that might peel, and 45. Looks like a standard fold. I don't think someone running 32/5 is floating looking to bluff you out on scary turn cards.

Your biggest hope is he has 77-88, or TT, and he thinks he needs to protect his hand by shoving (and, or may get you to lay down). I don't think I'd give someone that much credit, but you're at the table and have a better read.
