Default Ok, so I\'ve found my Foster City home....time for a mortgage

Fellas,

Thanks for the help on my thread last week. Now Im ready to buy the house in Foster City. Thing is, many mortgage brokers out there wanna charge me points on a loan for the house. Back in Indiana, I got my first house with no points and a very good rate (.5% less than market) by going with a broker via the chinese community (american brokers charge too much). Is it unrealistic for me to expect a mortgage with no points for a million dollar home? If not, what about .5% for orig fees?

TY,

SB

Paying point(s) really depends on how long you plan to stay in the house. There is a breakeven point.

TY for the response, but that's not what I mean. I'm talking about a broker charging me points, not voluntarily paying down the rate.

I own a mortgage company in Campbell. Send me an email and I can give you a quote with all the options (no points, .5% origination, etc..)
I'll show you the rate sheets and everything so you know exactly how much we are making.
