Re: Bears 2006 Season Thread
[ QUOTE ]
Brutal hack job on the Bears by Wojo and you guys thought I was a hater [/ QUOTE ] I'm glad this is the national theme about the Bears. There is no Bears player that will be too inflated going into the playoffs. My guess is most of the ESPN guys will pick the Cowboys or the Saints to come out of the NFC. Should keep the whole team with that angry us against the world mentality. By the way, my favorite part is the ZMOG Benson and Jones hate each other. You could never win the Superbowl if your two quality running backs that split time and rack up 150 yards a game hate each other. I kind of like the new mini-troll MyTurn. He's down to only hating on refs in Bears games. |

It just so happened the Bears had one of the best examples of official incompetence last week and the Bears benefitted. Not a big deal, though, as I'm sure the Bears would come up with the one more necessary win to have it not affect their playoff spot as well. I will say that the Bears have been one of the luckiest franchises the last 6 years or so when it comes to 'breaks.' However, I'm a firm believer in making your own 'breaks,' so kudos to them. |

mt2r,
I think 2002 is a prime example of the Bear's luck. Wow that season was so damn luck it's not even funny. |

[/ QUOTE ] yeah....in case it wasn't obvious, i thought the article was pretty poor. There are concerns, such as the defensive injuries, having to have Sexy Rexy win a game, the lack of development by Rex, some odd playcalling ruts by Turner, and a lack of recent playoff experience/success. However, Wojo is off his rocker in that article. Even with all the downsides, the Bears have to be favored to emerge from the NFC. NOt sure if Woj has been watching the rest of the NFC. The other teams have a litany of weaknesses much longer than that of the Bears. yeah, 2002 was ridiculous and I vomit in my mouth everytime I think of the Niners easing up in that game and blowing it. |

2002 Season? What happened that year? 2001 is when the Bears won the Division and then lost in the second round to Philly at home.

I guess you meant 2002 playoffs or 2001 season.

Hmmm, I could have sworn I just read about it being 2002. My bad, either way that 13-3 year was hella lucky.
