Peyton Manning, Greatest QB of all time?

I wanted to see what most of you think who is the best QB of all time, season and post-season wise...my vote goes to Peyton Manning and i just wanted to congratulate him on getting the monkey off of his back and reaching his first Super Bowl.

If you just wanted to congratulate him, there are at least 3 threads to do so, some where you can rub it in Pats fans faces, if that's your thing.

If you want to compare him to Marino, Elway, Montana, etc. then we should probably wait til his career is over.

If you're asking for us to extrapolate his stats and play and make a projection, then my guess would be yes, and by a fair margin.

He isn't there yet, but he has a good chance of getting there. Depending on the number of rings (fair or not, QBs are judged by rings), it might not be close.

and what are the key stats used to compare?
how do we differentiate for era/scheme/system/and quality of talent each qb had?
