Final table $10 Rebuy $10k Guar. Full Tilt facing reraise
At the final table of the tournament in the subject. I had been playing tight all final table since there were shorties to my left earlier, and I had to watch what I opened with a few times. I opened utg+1 the last 2 or 3 rounds with hands, winning them preflop without a show. Villain seemed solid, though I couldn't get much on him as he seemed to stay out of everyone's way.
Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Tournament Blinds: t8000/t16000 (Ante: t2000) 6 players Converter UTG (230,674) Hero (627,723) CO (545,511) Button (136,504) SB (506,535) Villain (376,053) Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG folds, Hero raises to t42000, 3 folds, BB raises to t112000, Hero ??? What's my line? |

Re: Final table $10 Rebuy $10k Guar. Full Tilt facing reraise
Tough spot. Looks like he is being patient which means he has a tight range which you are either behind or a coin flip with. You dont have the odds to spike a set against an overpair, and you probably wont get much more if you call and he misses the flop with AK. So to me, you can fold here and still keep the chip lead. The situation is so uncertain at this point there is really no need to gamble here.
