First time playing in awhile. 5/10 live in Detroit.
Short read on CO, but he seems slightly loose/average. BB is known and tight. 9 handed. I open with 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in MP. CO calls. BB calls. Flop(6 sb/3 players): Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Check, hero bets, CO calls, BB folds. Turn(4 bb/heads up): A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Hero bets, CO calls. River(6 bb/heads up): J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero bets... Rate it?

preflop is a little loose. way too loose if the rake in detroit is $5/flop or whatever.
giving up on the flop is certainly an option on this board, but once you bet flop and get one caller i think you have to bet the ace turn.

PF is a bit loose for me, that river card is particularly nasty cause JT/KT/KJ just got there as well. I wouldn't bother with betting the river there I think we're getting called a lot.
I'm unsure of turn bluff atm. (prolly ok)

What do you think the range is for the CO calling your MP raise? Would seem it would include a lot of the flop, turn, or river cards. Since he is loose average, you don't think he calls you down heads up?

Preflop was out of the norm for me.
Flop was taking a shot at it. CO hesitated on the call. I was thinking Ax/pp/JT? Then the A hits on the turn and I have to bet it, right. CO called pretty quickly. River was painful. Especially since CO held... This hand was costly, but did set me up a bit for the next several orbits. The quote in the title was by the guy sitting next to me after this hand. He he.
