I never saw bruises or anything, but she is overly dependant on him if you ask me. She doesn't work and seems to have a lot of confidence and security issues. When we were together he always fell all over her, complimenting her, going out of his way to get things she may want or go places she wanted to go.

It doesn't sound like you have anything to lose by going to the police.

Will it even be taken seriously if I do? After all, besides him being a major scumbag, all he did was grab my arm (and block the door which I can't prove). Saying I would be extremly sorry is obviously a threat to scare me, but he didn't say he would actually hurt me. He could just say that he meant I would regret losing the friendship with his wife, etc.

[/ QUOTE ]

It almost sounds like you are trying to convince yourself that this isn't a big deal. Well it is. Don't be afraid of causing a fuss about this. You haven't done anything wrong, and although it is certainly stressful and adding all kinds of drama to your life, this is something that you really need to take care of.

As was mentioned previously, this probably isn't the first time he's done something like this, and likely won't be the last. What's the worst thing that can happen by filing a police report? This [censored] gets bothered a bit? Your friendship with his wife ends (probably over already anyways)?

Just do it.

I wouldn't hesitate to file some kind of complaint with the police.

This is almost certainly not the first time he has done something like this. Men don't just wake up one day and become predators.

If you do not file a police report, he will do this again to someone else. Next time she may not be able to get away.

[/ QUOTE ]

...and he won't do that if she files a police report? Honestly, I don't think invloving the law here solves anything. There is no evidence.

Then, it occurred to me that you guys give pretty good advice.

And the first response:

I would bake her a cake. On top of the cake I would write in frosting "btw ur husband tried to rape me lolz"

[/ QUOTE ]

I find that highly amusing. In all seriousness, digitally record the conversation and post it on 2+2.

Yes. And I'm quite disappointed I didn't get enlisted to "deal" with the problem. Offer is always open, OP.
