I just started watching last season (on accident actually, then got hooked). I thought last season was good (I couldn't stop watching...) and I can't wait until the season premiere tonight.

Although N/T does a decent job summarizing the previous shows before each episode, I couldn't imagine watching Season 3 without seeing the first 2 seasons first. It would be like starting 24 at 9pm.

I do admit my sister has been watching since the beginning and filled me in a little. I think I'm gonna buy the first seasons to catch myself up.

I love this show, but agree that the 3rd and 4th seasons were big dropoffs from the first two (which were excellent). Its so over the top plot wise you eventually just accept it and enjoy it for what it is.

Everything I'm hearing about the new season is that its improved a lot, so I'm pretty pumped.

Just watched the season premiere, liked it a lot. Seems a lot more fresh than the past couple seasons, the LA stuff should be really good.

Its also getting really good reviews on Metacritic (79 avg).

I typically don't like to rate season premiere shows, as they are often just 'set-up' shows for the rest of the season. I thought this premiere was pretty good, though. The new angle they are heading in seems interesting.
