I'm pretty happy with how the team has started the season so far. Exact opposite of last year. Of course we will need to worry about Atlanta. And the Phillies aren't nearly as bad as they have been playing.

The key is going to be staying healthy. This should be an exciting season.

Scary start, isn't it? I hope this flow of offense continues all year... as long as David Wright keeps his .450 average steady, they should have a shot at great things.

When Kaz Matsui returns, Jose Valentin obviously should be the odd man out, but do you think he even gets into a game as anything but a lefty pinch hitter? Anderson Hernandez has been hot (except with the bat... not a good sign when your batting average matches your on base percentage AND slugging percentage) and all he has to be is a Rey Ordonez clone with the bat and glove to keep everyone off his back, around .250-.260 with a few walks here and there. I felt bad for Matsui his first two seasons... at the same point, I'm not welcoming him back with open arms, and if I could trade him for a sack of baseballs, I'd do it in a second. I'm thinking I'm not in the minority here.

Braves are going to miss Chipper (for however long he is out). Braves have also been on the road for 7 of their first 9 games. I think things will settle down with the Braves and the Mets will cool down a little (or so I hope). Should be an interesting season and maybe, just maybe, the Mets will win it (I lose lunch to 1 of my co-workers if the Braves fail).

Atleast we know there are really only 4 teams in the division for the next couple of seasons (Florida is an absolute joke).

this braves team looks absolutely horrible. we'll see how good they are in june.

Nice start to the game today (Beltran HR, Delgado 1B, Wright HR, Floyd HR)...

I'm not sold on the Mets starting pitching, it worries me more than anything else, but I still like the team more than anyone else in the east.
