Default NL100: A good hand on a scary board by the river...

Okay, I am really only expecting one answer here, but I feel the answer given will help clarify a little bit of thinking about when you have a good hand but a scary board, and you're last to act. This might be useful to newer players

The other two players are loose and can sometimes do stupid things, but aren't donkeys or by any means terrible.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

BB ($100)
UTG ($126.35)
UTG+1 ($43.45)
MP1 ($99.10)
MP2 ($75.70)
Hero ($113.25)
Button ($19.35)
SB ($77.80)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
2 folds, MP1 calls $1, 1 fold, Hero calls $1, 1 fold, SB completes, BB checks.

SB checks, BB checks, MP1 bets $3, Hero calls $3, SB calls $3, BB folds.

Turn: ($13) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, MP1 checks, Hero checks.

River: ($13) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, MP1 checks, Hero ?

I'll probably check behind as no worse hand will call anyway.

Sevens full would have fired, sixes full would have fired, but one of the villains especially the SB could play this way with 65, 85 or 45 and he will call if we bet. Probably no straights out there, probably no overpairs out there (would have raised preflop), maybe a worse flushdraw; we are betting for value against not many hands. Bluffing on this board is also pretty terrible because we will looked up by better hands a lot (hope villains understand that). Check behind.

I hope i don't get this wrong.

I bet the river for $9, villains will call with overpairs, trips, straights and flushs.

"The other two players are loose and can sometimes do stupid things"

Hopefully this doesn't include shoving 32 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] on river...

Check. You re lucky in fact to see a cheap showdown there. If they would ve played more aggressive I guess you might have been out by the turn already..

Meh, he might call with A-high. A lot of people know that it is good in this spot. I would tend to check it behind here though as you just don't get called by worse hands very often and you won't want to call a c/r.

bet it. somebody could have the straight draw as well, and could pay you off as well.

it's a very easy b/f anyways, so not much to lose.
