Busted draw vs. dinky river bet

I had no read on the moron in this hand at the time since I was new to the table. I later got a good read on him and might have played this differently. He was an unknown at the time, though.

I mucked, but it felt really weird to fold to such a dinky bet. Can I ever bluff raise here, or is your average villain betting small planning to call a raise since I took the free card on the turn?

And speaking of the turn, does anybody bet or is a free card a good line here?

Its either shove flop or play as you did and call river.
