huge river overbet
3 handed 1000 NL, effective stacks around 1600. Villain is kinda straight foward and has stacked me about 3 times by sucking out/having the nuts when I've made huge bluffs/whatever.
Button folds, I raise 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in the SB. He calls in the BB. 60 dollar flop, 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I bet 50, he calls. 160 turn, comes the 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. I check, he checks. River 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. I check, he bets 100. He could be value betting a 4, or he could very well have a 7. Recently I've just overshoved rivers on huge bluffs right into his monster hands. I CR AI for about 1400 more. Standard or CR less? |

Re: huge river overbet
i lead in this spot for like 3/4 pot. i think a cr all in is terrible. he folds everything that you beat.

Re: huge river overbet
given our history I don't think he ever folds a 7.

Re: huge river overbet
c/r to like 600 or something is much better i think. i think only a 7 will call the first bet whereas many many hands will think about claling the 600, esp if you've been bluff happy
