Default q5dd button HU

so this guy took about 3 bi off me earlier when i was playing quite poorly, but i seem to be gaining some edge as he is wildly 3 betting and playing very aggressively postflop.
as far as 3 betting flop here do u think that is correct or not? we have been playing several hours and he has been gettting proggressively more aggressive.

1 reason is that i made a huge overbet semibluff a couple hands ago with j3 of diamonds on an A 4 5 board with 2 diamonds. I think my image at the moment of this hand is of someone who is wildly overbet bluffing and i feel like i want a call here

I dunno, I'm not crazy about gettin it in here since I doubt villain stacks off w/ less than 2 pair 200 bbs deep. so your pair outs aren't really that live and really all you have goin for you is the flush draw.

that said, if theres a lot of c/r'ing goin on, esp. on the flop I definitely like the 3bet but it seems wayyyy to big.

mehh, I dont play hu hardly at all so I might be off

edit: holy [censored] ur 400bbs deep, didnt see that. yeah, umm no way am I gettin it all in here

If he has been 3-betting alot postflop, just call because you are probably ahead. By making that raise you are turning top pair/combo draw(when behind) to a flush draw that propably doesn't even have 35% equity when called.

raising to $77 400bb deep is just horrible imo.

wow, did I read it wrong? 400BB, I wouldn't make such a huge raise. as played, i think you're committed.

also at this level don't get into stupid mind games. people are so spewy/aggro/bad, that you really can just play solid poker without too much thought.
