If you consider sharing a kitch and bath to be playing pro because you're living by the beach, it's all good.

I'd consider that two great reasons to get a real job to have my own. 1-2NL is the hell of holdem poker.

actually caesars has free parking also with the low rank card (gold card)

Definitely not true, must have diamond card (second at of 3 levels of cards) to get free parking at caesars
and i can confirm that about 70% of the tables at the taj have automatic shufflers.
and for the record, i've never agreed with or supported the idea of a "white chip pro", however, with such a low cost of living as OP stated, it seems completely feasible

another year with the desk job and give it another shot with a bigger, more comfortable bankroll

You have two choices. The 152 bridge is one. It's shorter but driving through Margate and Ventor is stop-light central.

Or take the long but fast way by getting on parkway and then the AC expressway. It's a hook but drives very fast.

Both options take about half an hour.

I don't know what it's like in peak traffic times because I haven't really seen traffic yet around here. (I am from Northern Virginia so I know what traffic is).

Did you do any of the following below during your stay?
-Earn 25 TR Credits at Caesars?
-Validate your parking - by providing the parking attendent a receipt or coupon from a purchase at the Pier at Ceasars or the Walk?

I find it hard to believe this it is free, espically during the summer, considering during the winter they tried to charge me $15 when exiting. (Yes, this is the same garage)

I will be in AC Thursday all day and will have some down time between tournaments that I will check out the self-parking costs at all casinos and make a post.

The easiest way to get free parking in atlantic city is easy if you know the tricks...

#1. SHOWBOAT IS FREE FOR ALL CARDHOLDERS. Showboat will give you a transfer ticket which you can use one time at any other casino, the only downside to transfers is that they expire at 6am the next day. I usually play at Taj so i stop at Showboat real quick, get my transfer, and then go over to taj.

Harrahs is also free for all cardholders, i cant tell you about the transfer there because everytime i have been there, there is never anyone in the booth where you are supposed to pay.

Ceasars is free for Platinum and above. Gold holders get free parking with earned 25 TR Credits, which can be easily achieved with playing an horu of any table game or 2-3 hours of poker. CEASARS DOES NOT give transfer tickets to any card holders who dont pay the 5$ fee.

TaJ is 4$ for cardholders during the week, 5 on the weekends.

Trop is always 5 for card holders, 10 without.

Borgata is 5$ for everyone.

Trump Plaza is free for all card holders, not sure about getting a transfer.

I have never been to resorts, hilton or trump marina so i couldnt tell you about those casinos.

How do you turn those 25 TR Credits into free parking?

Also, in that garage a couple weeks ago, it was posted $5 on a Saturday morning when I pulled in. When I left (you pay when you leave) it said $10 at the booth. I handed her $5 and the attendant said "it's 10". I protested and she let me go for $5.

$1/hour comp: I believe all casinos comp 1/2 NL at $1/hour.

Good Luck!

[/ QUOTE ]

Hilton comps $2/hour at 1/2 NL. And they have a $30 weekday poker rate and one of the softest games in the city. If all I wanted to play was 1/2 NL, that might be the only casino I played at.

Anyone know how long you have to play to get the room rate at the Hilton? Also, will they give the rate without any previous play or do they require a previous play average before reserving.

I am planning to go to AC on Thursday. I wanted to stay the night, but the boardwalk hotels were all overpriced. I would consider staying/playing Wednesday night at that rate.
