Thanks for posting that.

I'm only going to be out there for the very beginning of the WSOP and will be playing Event #3 on Saturday. But on Friday I'd like to play either the $150 Binion's or the $540 Venetian. I can see the structure on the Binion's site (4K, every 30 min, 25/50 first level) but not the Venetian (10K starting stack** but don't see the levels). It looks like the Venetian will take much longer...is that true? Venetian's FT is the following day @ 4:00 but I assume the Binion's just plays until it's completed?

** - it also appears that for only $10 you can add 2500 chips to your 10K starting stack in the Venetian tourney...so it's really a $550 for 12.5K chips?

These bigger buy-in Bellagio Cup events scare the hell out of me. I am going to be so busto.

IMHO Bellagio's summer series (or whatever they call it) is the best deal in Vegas, or at least is was last year.

They run lots of satellites in the morning leading to a super soft crowd, the dealers actually know how to deal, shufflemasters get a lot of hands out and little beats playing in the day-lit Fontana Lounge with the fountains going off outside the windows every half hour.

What could be better?

Yay, another series I missed:

WPT Mandalay Bay Poker Championship

Quite small for WPT standards. Anyone think they and Harrahs are oversaturating these "championships" just a tad too much now?

Good question. I'll be there for a week from 18th August.
