bottom inside Str8 +FD leads
Do you lead with pot bet into 5 people, $7 pot, while having $19 total (leaving you $12) in your stack with 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] on 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] board? the pot was raised PF by button.
I am playing PLO 25 on Bodog and have trouble figuring out how strong of a hand do I need to lead into 5 people from EP. |

Re: bottom inside Str8 +FD leads
I wouldnt, the only real merrit to your hand is that you have top pair and a crappy flush draw (and a crappy gutshot). Fold pre-flop unless you were in the blinds. As played I prolly just check/fold.

Re: bottom inside Str8 +FD leads
Short answer: no. In fact, I'd check/fold this hand to a bet from any position. #1 rule of Omaha is not to draw to non-nut hands, because especially in multi-way action you'll be against draws that have you drawing slim or dead. If you had something like K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], I'd lead with that into a multi-way pot hoping to get raised and get my stack in.
The goal of betting into multi-way pots in early position is to get raised and get your stack in, not to steal a pot. The latter will almost never work, so you better be betting in that spot with either a) the nuts or b) a combo draw to the nuts. Otherwise, it'll be massively -EV. |
