Default please Help! extra loosing people

Hi everyone,

I play in Madrid, spain, in the only casino where you can play texas holdem 10/20.The problem is that I have lost 86BB in two days and I don´t know if my play is good. The problem is there is too much loose players, aprox. 70% flop.
I play tight agreesive but with 8 players who go with all type of hands it´s very dificult to win wiht one pair, they will win you with double pair like 10-7, j-3, etc.
I think the strategy to play with this players is play more tight but wath is your opinion???
Than you and sorry with my english, is not good.

Statistically, they can't make two pair any more often than you will. They will just stay in hands more often to try and catch it. So just off-set the times they suck out on you by building big pots and value betting the hands that they can't win. Those pots will more than make up for what you lose on a bad river.

also consider what sort of hands you are playing and what you are trying to make with them. your right that it is gonna be hard to win with one pair so hands like AK and AQ lose value (although you are obviously going to be playing them). suited connectors and pairs that can make big hands like straights and sets go up in value. it is gonna be frustrating because you are going to get outdrawn a lot in big pots but keep building pots when you have the best of it and if you dont get broke you will eventually come out ahead as these are some of the most profitable games imagineable

Thank you for the answers.

I also believe that the hands like AK or AQ lose value without stopping being strong hands and that the conectors and pairs win value. Also I agree in that eventually the pots that it takes to me will be proportional to the hands that I lost in the river for example. But then how many BB do you think you need to play at this tables?? because I have lost 86BB and I begin to think that is too much, I normaly play on internet and 40 or 50BB is the limit that I have lost in one year.

I disagree. I think whoever came up with that old 'Play tight in a loose game' was way off. In a very loose game I play pretty darn loose pf myself. There's a lot of opportunity in these games and sticking to playing just big pair and big aces leaves a lot on the table. As I said I play loose pf but not as loose as the rest of them. And I'm only active post-flop when I'm getting value for my hand.
