Lol yeah I sometimes make a call like this saying "He doesn't have a K." Then I lose to JJ, 55, J9, Asxs, etc. Or the dreaded 5J, which drives me nuts. Then I pat myself on the back for being right. (Disclaimer: I play HUSNGs, not HUCASH.)

It would be a great read if you called and won, but I really hope you folded. I think his screenname alone suggests a thinking player at least. A thinking player might try to push you off a good hand, but on the other hand probably isn't going berserk with junk in this spot.

I don't mean to suggest the screenname should be a big part of your read, but given the board and villain's actions and lack of reads, this is an easy fold for me.

Only way your winning here is if your getting bluffed at and all in on the turn doesn't look like he is (unless he's on bad tilt), more than likely doesn't have a K because of the way he played the flop. Looks like more of a drawing hand, a very low flush may do this hoping you have the ace plus a pair so you can justify a call here.

I'd just like to point out that "I don't think he has a K." should probably be changed here with no reads to the more accurate "I really hope he doesn't have a K"

He never does this with a K unless he picked up a fd on the turn

just because your was good doesn't mean it is good.

if you repopped with j8 and hit that sweet, sweet second pair, i don't think you'd be as attached to the hand.
