Default Small Stakes Hold \'em

I just recently bought Small Stakes Hold 'em by David Sklansky, Ed Miller, and Mason Malmuth. Only after reading some of the book did i realize that it was intended for limit hold 'em (i play mostly .25/.50 nl), and by "small stakes" they meant $2/4 or $3/6 games. My question is this: are the teachings of limit hold 'em found in this book also applicable to "micro limit" no limit? If not, is it because the stakes are too small when compared to what they were writing about, or is it because limit is just too different from no limit? (I personally believe the difference between nl and limit to be immense)

Thanks

certain principles are the same but if you're not interested in playing limit you'd be wasting your time by reading it. Things like pot odds, implied odds, pot equity etc. are the same but even the presentation is too different. It's a great book if you want to play limit though.

Obviously a few things are the same, for example you still have the same outs to complete a flush on the river in both games, but in terms of gameplay LHE and NLHE are like night and day.

Just set SSHE aside and grab Professional No Limit Hold'em instead if you like cash games. Harrington's tourney series if you prefer those (or both, preferably).
