On a drier board, and esp. in position, I might check these sometimes. However, I'd bet this flop.

So I'm wrong for thinking his range is basicly JJ+, AK here?

I agree with this. Pot is plenty big and hero is OOP with TPTK. No reason to get fancy or give free cards. This hand becomes more fun if hero has TT-QQ.

Yeah, I think that's wrong. All he did was open-raise on the button and call a reraise. I'd assume a much wider range -- things like pocket pairs and many suited hands are definitely in there.

Bet the flop, then bet the turn.

Am I right in thinking something around a pot-sized bet is best for the flop?

So lets say we bet around $18 on the flop and villan calls. On the turn villan has around $20 left, are we just betting that because if he is putting more money in this pot it will probably be everything anyway?

I have no idea how to play this hand, and it feels like a common spot.

Also, if villan had a much bigger stack on the turn (after calling our PSB on the flop), should we be betting again on the turn there too?

My inclination is to make another pot sized bet because the board is very drawey and I don't want to give a free card and I don't want to give villan odds to call if I make a smaller bet.

My problem with that is, I feel like villan can make a big semi-bluff raise with a very big range of hands on this turn.

It is these top-pair types of hands that I really, really don't know how to play. In position or out of position.

yeah checking the flop is FPS at this level. you miss value from worse hands and they're not as likely to bluff at you. unless you were checking for pot control, in which case you really need to value your strong one pair hands more
