Default KK gets checkraised

villain here is 34.3/16.4/1.2 after 70 hands. he called someone a donk earlier in the session so he's at least familiar with some of the 2+2 terminology. i have such a hard time laying down KK and AA on undercard boards but thought it was prudent here. standard?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 handed) internettexasholdem.com

Hero ($46.75)
CO ($99.13)
Button ($33.55)
SB ($120.21)
BB ($88.18)
UTG ($50)

Preflop: Hero is MP with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $2</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Button calls $2, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, BB calls $1.50.

Flop: ($6.25) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $4.5</font>, Button calls $4.50, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises to $16</font>, Hero folds, Button folds.

Final Pot: $31.25

hmmm...more often than not i'm getting stacked in these situations. i was thinking "big hand big pot, small hand small pot" and all that. he just didn't seem laggy enough to do this without a monster. i thought a 9 was very possible.

The real problem here is what does the button have. HU, you might convince me to push. 3-way, I'm not as excited. Sometimes you have to fold the best hand and this may be one of them.

Unless you have a read that villain likes to raise paired boards against c-bets, then a fold isn't a bad option here. Somebody convince me otherwise......
