Re: Trip Aces on Flop v Tough Opponent
If I shove on the turn, get called and Villain shows 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] for a flopped boat, do I chalk this up as a cooler or was there a way of somehow saving some $$$?

[/ QUOTE ] nope, there's hands that you're bound to go broke with, the only thing is that I will add a note about his check/raise and check again on turn line that means very good hands... |

Re: Trip Aces on Flop v Tough Opponent
Sure. Although check/raising a hand as strong as a flopped boat is quite unusual (but obviously a good play in this situation).
I think would have had to pay off almost any big bet on the river anyway, so I'm reasonably comfortable that shoving on the turn wasn't a big mistake. Just feel a bit silly when Villain instacalls :-( |

[ QUOTE ] damn he changed the currency with that raise he's good [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, don't forget to factor in exchange rates and fees on the flop. The dollar is pretty damn weak so it' probably a fold. [/ QUOTE ] |
