KOD, this answers your ? right here.

Don't get me wrong though, I still love giving rap money by bluffing at every possible opportunity.

My thought process every time: Well I just bluffed the last 47889457682 pots in a row, no way he thinks I can be bluffing this time. That plan never seems to work out very well for me though

Wow... I've read this thread fully now, and saw the many OP's agreeing with the pf fold here. But I just don't think it can be right to forego A4o vs a random hand as a default move (even given the positional disadvantage, given that the BB is tricky and a POW, etc...). While obviously I'd use all options here (limp and fold to raise, raise, limp and reraise, and fold pf) sometimes, I'd think that a standard pf raise would be my most regular play in this spot. We're just giving away too much equity by giving up on blind vs blind play from the SB, solely b/c the BB is a strong/tricky player, imho...

i think the idea of tanking and then betting being bad is kinda dumb - if i had J8 here or JT or w/e i'd definitely take my time to figure out if i were going to bet and how much - it isn't a split second decision. actually, whether or not to bluff is a quicker decision so the time spent mustering the courage isn't really that big a deal.
