family: usually steak @ home

friends: dinner out / party / present depending on closeness.

I spent mine in a casino playing limit hold 'em this year. Didn't do anything. The year before I spent it at work all day.

for my 30th birfday I was at nath's house.

he wasn't there ldo

then I drove around

My buddies 30th is tonight and I've tricked him into coming to a party where a bunch of people will be surprising him with balloons which is funny cuz he hates birfdays.

Hence the pole in the op is flawed ducy?

Daughter (2 1/2): Party, presents, etc etc etc.

Wife: Dinner, possibly a present if something catches my eye in the week prior.

Mother, Father, Sister: Phone call.

Friends: Phone call if I remember.

girlfriend- gave her some gifts a week or two before. just saw things i wanted to get her and used birthday as the excuse. day of, i was busy all day, but we went out to a nice dinner, just the two of us.

myself- same

friends- we'll go out to a bar and i'll buy em a drink or two, but no gifts or anything
