Default Just Got a New Dell--Windows Neb.....Which Programs should I delete?

Just got a new Dell laptop...with windows vista home.
Inspiron 1520, Intel Core 2 Duo T7100, 1.8GHz, 800Mhz, 2M L2 Cache etc


What all should i do
--logged in as admin.
turned off those user control thingie



Which of these added programs am I ok deleting or should delete.

Only going to use this for screenwriting, poker, and internet +aim, watching dvds, listening to itunes.


prefer not to do a complete re-install.

yeah..the reformating just freaks me out esp since this is my 3rd try at getting a laptop from dell that works...don't want to chance having to send back and reorder if i somehow fubared the reinstall

i turned off googledesktop

so i don't need the roxio thing to watch dvds?

Only remove 21 if you don't have MS Office, MS Works is awful but still better than nothing.

You don't need Roxio software to watch DVDs. They're for if you want to copy/burn DVDs, but there are better alternatives available that won't bloat your system as much. As for watching DVDs I use VLC media player which plays videos in almost any format, and is only 9MBs [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I would say if you don't have MS office, then use OpenOffice (openoffice.org). At least that way you'll be able to save industry-standard documents.

thanks for the help..removed all that [censored] and it is much much faster.

now just got to find virus protection stuff..so my computer doesn't get vorms
