Default Re: best low limit walking distance from Bellagio ?

Isn't Caesars 1/3nl with a $500 max buyin? I didn't play there this time, but I did on my previous trip. If I remember correctly, this game played deeper ~ closer to 2/5nl than 1/2nl.

I also have to recommend MGM. I really like that room for small stakes nl. It's a little bit of a walk from Bellagio, but worth it IMO. It's a $200 max buyin, the rooms in a nice location and gets its fair share of soft players.

Is this normal for Vegas?

Yes. Dealers can play in thier own house in every casino in Vegas, AFAIK. Dealers are players/people too.

Caeser's is 1/3 NL 500 max. it's still a relatively easy game. IMO MGM does the best job of catering to low stakes players with low rake, no jackpot, and lots of tables going at all times.

Last time I played at Binion's an employee from the GN was playing there. He may have been a floorperson instead of a dealer, but apparently he either couldn't or wouldn't play in his own room. I have met dealers who indicated that they would not play against their customers in their room, they thought it hurt their tips. From what I've seen in Vegas, nobody there shares that sentiment.

Bally's is THE noisiest poker room in Vegas. Seriously, that's the only major drawback to it.

[/ QUOTE ]

Not even close. The new Paris room is right next to, or under, or over some lounge or club so that all you can hear all night long is boom boom boom. The floor can't hear the dealer when they call for chips or empty seat. MGM has the same problem and is nearly as bad.

Bally's has 2/4 limit, to answer the OP.

Just got back yesterday. Gonna post a TR, but imo, Rio has the softest games, followed by PH, and MGM.

Last Sunday (June 3rd) we has a late night game at PH that was just surreal. It was a 1/2 capped 200 max buyin game that, before it broke, we had nearly $10,000 on the table. That's the reason I never got around to playing in the Venentian deep stack tournies...cash games were just too good!
