Diary of our weekly game (long)

I've posted before about our weekly home game but I wanted to give you a "minute by minute" look into it:

7:00 pm: arrive with boxes of cuban goodies from Portos.

7:02: first argument of the night ensues about seating arrangements since host forgot (again) to have enough chairs there.

7:10: after arguing we decide to ban host from playing until he brings another chair. He stomps off.

7:15: open 2 new decks of cards and make sure that neither is a pinochle deck(actually happened once).

7:17: 2 players pay me money they owe from previous weeks.

7:20: game begins. 5 of us playing 2/3 NL. Buy in is $100. As usual I buy with money that was paid to me.

7:21: 1st misdeal of the night as 2 cards go flying of the table.

7:23: First all in (on 1st hand) as I am dealt AKh with flop K9xo. I scoop pot and Son of Lag (sol) rebuys.

7:25: second all in as I slow play another AKo and am able to bail out when flop comes 986. This time Mr. LAG (mag) goes all in against sol and scoops. SOL rebuys.

8:10: Host comes back with his chair and joins game.

8:20: TAG1 announces that he folded 95o pre flop after the flop came 99x.

8:23: Next hand and I watch with amazement as sol shuffles cards once and TAG2 cuts. I am dealt 95o and decide to play this carefully. I raise $15 PF to freeze the others and get 3 calls. Flop comes K9x. I bet $30 and get 1 call. Turn is the 9 I've been waiting for and I check and get bet $100 so I go all in and scoop.

8:45: Decide to put my heavy jacket on as the wind is picking up and its gotten colder. Take a drink to keep warm.

9:00 Break to eat food from Porto's.

9:02: SOL decides to go all in again and is called by TAG2 who scoops. Rebuy.

9:05: SOL all in and loses to TAG2 again. Rebuy.

9:08 SOL all in again and loses to TAG1. Rebuy.

9:11: SOL all in again and scoops from calls by mag and tag2.

9:25: I'm all in against mag and scoop. Mag rebuys.

10:05: wannabe lag (wag) arrives and TAG3 leaves.

10:07: Wag all in and I scoop. Rebuy.

10:10: Wag all in and lag scoops. rebuy.

10:15: wag all in and lag scoops/ rebuy.

10:20: wag all in and I scoop. rebuy.

10:30: Now we are in the meat of things and I know that from here out for the rest of the night it's going to be aggressive, no limping allowed.

10:48: wag and sol get into a bluffing duel and neither blinks as they show down K high and wag takes pot.

10:55: I take huge pot from TAG1 with a bluff and decide to show him one card. He tries to reach for my discard but sol slaps his hand away. I smirk and tell him he has no balls.

11:20: wag is all in against Tag2 and loses. rebuys.

11:41: wag all in and loses. rebuys.

11:48: wag all in and loses. rebuys.

12:11: Tag1 tries to bluff me and I call him down with 66 on board of AK235. Pot is around $400 and he only had $50 or so left on river.

12:20: Hosts wife comes out and starts yelling at him that he is losing too much money and that he needs to get inside and go to bed. Host (mag) tells her to stfu and rebuys for another $100.

12:40: wag is all in and loses. rebuys.

12:42: wag all in and loses. rebuys.

12:44: lag all in and loses. rebuys.

12:47: sol all in and loses. rebuys.

12:48: Tag1 and tag2 say they are leaving at 2 so we decide to end it then.

12:50: we are all bundled up and freezing. it's so cold I can barely feel my fingers and shuffling is getting hard.

12:52: tag1 all in and loses. rebuys.

12:55: wag all in and loses. rebuys.

12:58: wag all in and loses. rebuys.

1:00: sol all in and loses. rebuys.

1:03: sol all in and loses. rebuys.

1:06: mag all in and loses. rebuys.

1:10: mag all in and loses. rebuys.

1:20: me, mag and sol go all in and split pot with inside straight. each of us had a 4.

1:25: wag all in and loses. rebuys.

1:27: wag all in and loses: rebuys.

1:31: tag 2 all in and scoops from me. about $270.

1:35: sol all in and I scoop from him. rebuy.

1:29: sol all in and wag scoops from him. rebuy.

1:35: I go all in with wag and hit a 4 outer on river to scoop. he rebuys.

1:37: can't feel my fingers anymore.

1:40: Win pot of $380 with a flopped straight.

1:46: wag and sol rebuy after losing to tag2.

1:48: circulation starting to fail in my feet.

1:51: pot of around $800 goes to Tag1. I am only caught for $60 as I am able to get out light.

1:55: announce that we will deal one last round. mag begs for 2 rounds. we say no.

1:58: mag is all in and loses. rebuys.

2:00: mag is all in and loses. rebuys.

2:04: last hand. Mag, wag, sol, tag2 go all in and mag scoops.

2:06: start counting chips. Head feels like it is going to fall off due to extreme cold weather.

2:15: first count of chips done.

2:16: start second count.

2:24: second count is done and is different from first count.

2:25: third count starts.

2:38: third count is done and we agree to go with this.

2:50: everyone settles up and I leave up $948. sol owes me $200 and wag owes me $100.

3:00: say good night and agree to meet again the following week.

3:35: arrive home and take hot shower.

3:55: leave money out for gf to "find".

4:00: say a prayer that I found this game and go to sleep.

9:40 am: woken with a big kiss from gf. Happy days.

This sounds like the greatest game ever.

How much was SOL rebuying for. This guy sounds like a walking, talking, breathing ATM.

3 of the guys live in a 3 house lot and we play in the car park. That's the way they set up the game - long before I was invited. It's Los Angeles so much of the year playing outside isn't a problem but for the past month or so it's been pretty damn cold after 10.

Not only SOL. MAG and WAG are regular contributers. The buy and rebuys are set at $100.

Oh me oh my. I have a similar game, but $20 a pop. They're nuts, but even still, not as crazy as this. You are blessed.

I'm thinking I should auction off a seat in this game to a 2+2er. Bids would start at $5,000.

This seems like a BB&V, but it's so classic I don't want it moved.

Nice game to be in.... though I wonder how cold it could have been to people used to REAL weather.

"Real weather"..ha ha. I guess being from "north of Philly" you would know real weather. LOL. Still, when it gets down to low 40's with some wind and we're playing outdoors all night I think I should qualifiy for my "cold-weather" badge, right?

It takes the host an hour to find a chair (at his house)?
