Default Good2Cu

No clue who he is but apparently has some following. He's been suspended for 2 days for making the following post in Tournament Circuit in THE Kathy Leibert thread:

Now on his website (or I guess all of the Ship it Holla Ballas lol):

[ QUOTE ]

If I ever meet the 2+2 mod who banned me I am going to slap him in the face with my dick.

[/ QUOTE ]

Now considering further action. Opinions welcomed although he won't be coming back for at least the 2 days (probably more now) unless Mat/Ryan overturn.

Mod actions really shouldn't be based on anything someone did or said on some other site.

I disagree when it turns into a threat of some kind. You can't say that Mason's decision regarding Paul Phillips wasn't at least in part due to posts on Paul's website.

I won't even attempt to speak for Mason, but I can tell you that we shouldn't be basing any mod actions on comments made on another site.

Lloyd:

I feel that is more of a boast than a threat. I think we should just ignore it unless he starts that once again at 2+2.

I essentially agree with you in terms of ignoring it. However, I disagree that we should have such a black and white policy as to ignore everything done outside of 2+2. Clearly there are times when action should be taken and usually that will be in response to some kind of threat. In this case, I think it's a marginable situation.

That's fair, but you were essentialy saying that we should base a mod decision on a (short) rant posted on what appears to be his own site.

Yes, I can think of exceptions. For instance, if a registered, known user was found to be selling electronic copies of 2+2's books, I bet a ban from the forums would be the least of their concerns, but it probably would happen.

There are always going to be exceptions to just about every guideline. I just don't believe this is one of them.
