seke you do realize you become short stack if you fold this(assuming BB folds), and why would the shortest stack need QQ+ AK+ to try to steal 5 handed? I'm short stack I am stealing a lot more hands than that, depending on play I might be stealing like almost any 2(now I would have pushed, but some people just think anytime they raise they are stealing)

[/ QUOTE ]

Agreed. If he wins this hand now you have to make a move. Why not do it with a big hand? Push and hope he was stealing or has a lower pair.

So, are you saying you wouldn't insta-call here? We are WAY ahead of his range, and can't fold into a seat.

You push- he folds...

11 left, so you have 5 and 6 people on each table, blinds come around real fast, I don't see you gettting a better opportunity. Push and eliminate.

I hope you're not posting this because he called and hit his 2 or 3 outer???

The question I was asking is, given the table dynamics, is it a better play to fold this and try to chip up in other spots?

Though I'm certainly an advocate of folding monster hands when you can easily pick up smaller pots when necessary and otherwise fold into a seat, I'm not sure if this is a spot to do that. Villains range includes a ton of hands that you have destroyed, and only one that has you crushed (no offense seke, he may indeed have AA and the miniraise is scary, but it may not be the only hand he'd do this with). It really comes down to one question... do you think you can keep picking spots to stay alive, and last long enough for someone else to make a mistake? If you're pretty positive you can do that, then fold. Otherwise, I'd stick my money in here with what is probably the best hand and hope to end this thing.

You do have a lot of fold equity, so you should be able to chip up in other spots, but KK is such a strong hand, I really think it's a good place to take a stand and eliminate the shortstack. I also think there's a reasonable chance he folds if you reraise him allin.

I busted from this same satellite recently when I called a push with AA a few spots from the money, but I needed to make a move, and couldn't think of a better spot. Villian had KK, and pulled a K on the flop. GG me.

I don't know, because I'm not a satellite expert, but I do know this call is neither instant nor obvious.
