Re: its hard to mess up 2overs + fd ... unless
[ QUOTE ]
if they do flat, they're giving us a fairly cheap price to draw, right?? that can't be too bad either [/ QUOTE ] Not if our bet was pot-sized. Then we're effectively betting villains Aces for him, and getting an incorrect price unless our donk confuses him enough that he pays us off when we hit. |

Re: its hard to mess up 2overs + fd ... unless
same price if they cbet... you're looking to get all in on the flop or for him to fold, if it contiues after the flop it kinda sucks.
i just think in general cr >> b3b in these games against tags |

Re: its hard to mess up 2overs + fd ... unless
still confused, i agree that more tags are seeing the b/3b as a set, so shouldn't be doing that here for our fd then??
i guess i just feel awkward when the c/r gets called and we're OOP |

Re: its hard to mess up 2overs + fd ... unless
so when you donk, and IF he flat calls, say turn is a brick, what do you do?

Check-raise all-in. Works maybe 4 out of 5 times, and on the 5th time you'll hit your flush

Re: its hard to mess up 2overs + fd ... unless
Question for the bet/3bet crowd...What's our line if he flats the flop and the turn is a brick?

Re: its hard to mess up 2overs + fd ... unless
on this drawy a board, i don't think very many players are flatting AA here. If they're that scared of a monster, i think a CRAI on a blank turn (betting a d) is a very effective (ie. lots of dead money and huge FE) play here, although obviously risky since you're drawing with only one card to come.

[ QUOTE ]
problem w/ b3b imo is that people rarely raise your donk bet because they know you're going for a b3b. They're flatting here with AA thoughts? [/ QUOTE ] not if you merge your donkbet range w/ 1 pair/2pair/air sorta hands. [ QUOTE ] Question for the bet/3bet crowd...What's our line if he flats the flop and the turn is a brick? [/ QUOTE ] c/f w/o odds, (he may check, fearing a stack-a-donk line) it kinda sucks if you have to fold but meh. |
