Default 100NL Pair of 8\'s w/ paired board

I've been playing 14/8/3 . . . in table chat one guy has ironically praised my "game"; another immediately chimed in that the first guy must be kidding.

Villain is straightforward. I've never seen him out of line; I've never seen him be tricky. Every hand he's shown down when he raised preflop has been a pocket pair, 8's or better.

When he bets out on the flop, I can't imagine that he limped with a pocket pair better than my 8's, and I just can't make the story make any sense with a 6.

Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (10 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

saw flop

Hero ($41.60)
MP3 ($211.55)
CO ($108.70)
Button ($53.75)
SB ($97.20)
BB ($52.15)
UTG ($67.95)
UTG+1 ($116.90)
UTG+2 ($92.80)
MP1 ($98.80)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 8, 8.
2 folds, MP1 calls $1, Hero raises to $4.5, 5 folds, MP1 calls $3.50.

Flop: ($10.50) 6, 5, 6 (2 players)
MP1 bets $10, Hero ?????

first have the max buy in ... and it should make things much easier... either push or fold read dependent and if you say it looks like a cont. bet and just shove

Villain didn't raise PF. He called and potted the flop.

If your read is that he is straight forward, then this is a fold.
