those who do, do.... those who can\'t teach
Is it true what they say, that those who can play texas hold em' play no limit and those who can't, play limit? Every book that I've ever read seems to hold this concept as the "truth". Does this then equate to a descent nl player becoming an extrodinary limit player? If so, why aren't there more switch hitters? Thoughts....

Re: those who do, do.... those who can\'t teach
Most good NL players I know started in limit and most NL players I know who tried to pick up limit really suck. Not statistically significant but anecdotically interesting.

Give me one book about NL that says FL is harder or one book about FL saying NL is harder.
Most things that interests you is hard, since u now see how complicated it really is. |

Re: those who do, do.... those who can\'t teach
When im sitting in my local 2/5 NL game and I hear arugments breaking out about how NL is such a more complex game, and limits so easy.. I have to control myself from laughing out loud in their faces..
These people couldnt play either game well if their live depended on it... Yet they try to seem all "superior" cause they play a "more complex game". My 9 year old cousin can play no limit holdem, doesnt mean shes any good at it (shed p0wn the 2/5 game tho). Most (all?) mid-high stakes NL pros with zero fixed limit experience would probabily be a losing player in a 2/4 FL game. |
