Just got an e-mail from a manager at work addressed to his three employees...and me. I've never met the guy or anyone on his team afaik, and the e-mail is like "I just made an offer to someone to join our team and he wants to spend some time with the team first, so can you all come to dinner Sunday evening?" I don't even work on the dude's team so I have no idea how I'm relevant, or how I wound up getting this e-mail.
What's my play? Next time on "goofyballer discovers corporate adventures": The third floor runs out of spiced apple cider mix! Is it cool to steal from the second floor?! |

[/ QUOTE ] i'd reply to the e-mail, quoting it, and say, "hey, i think you accidentally sent this to me" he'll either say "oops" or he'll say "no it was on purpose" go from there (what i'm saying is present it like you're sure it was an accidental e-mail... if you ask him directly if he wants you to go, he'll probably say he does, in which case you're stuck at some stupid work dinner) (plus it sounds like it REALLY was a mistake and he has no hold over you, so you can tell him, wtf if you want) |

I made some changes to the living room recently. Do I get SSNL's interior design contingent's approval?  couldn't get the lighting right but I think it kinda looks cool this way. |

fwiw, I don't actually want to go to the dinner with 4 ppl I've never met to awkwardly convince some other dude I've never met and will likely never see again to join our company. I'll try the accidental approach.
Keyser, I'm super jealous of your pad and would love to beat your ass at whatever games you have on that 360. It also kills me that you're prob paying half as much in rent as I do on my decidedly non-baller apartment (even though living in Menlo Park is semi-baller by itself). |
