Default 750k Final Table

We were seven handed at the Final table of the 750k Guaranteed and this hand came up. I was the chip leader in the BB with approx 3 million in chips at 30/60k blinds. Villain was in the cutoff with about 1.5million after his raise. I have 3 bet him a couple times with mixed results he came over the top of me once preflop and showed AA and once post flop and also showed AA. I have probably taken about 5 pots off of him with 3 bets since 3 tables.

He makes a standard 3x raise to 180k and I flat call with KQ out of the BB. The flop comes down Q3Q. He is relatively aggressive and will most likely make a continuation bet if i check to him. I know for a fact I have donked into the PFR strong and weak a couple of times with him at the table.

Is this a check raise spot or would u rather lead into him hoping he does something funny? Is every chip we can get important (C/R) or is it best to take a line to try and stack him if he feels we are making a move with air.

(sorry could not find the hand history but all the information is accurate)

I'd c/r him, simply because this is a spot where you could easily c/r bluff.

Yeah I'd just CR him small enough that he might think he has fold equity on a push, obviously he's tired of you coming over the top of him and might do something dumb. That'd be my default play but it's kind of read dependent. If you think he'll just shove over a lead then go for it.

If you've been relatively active with this guy, why not lead out something like 275k and let him bluff/shove his ~1.2mil thinking he might have some fold equity? You can c/r but chances are you're only going to pick up his c-bet. He won't have any equity to shove over your c/r with air and will have to fold. If he's semi-aggro, there's a better chance of him shoving your lead since it's a good board for him to do it on and stackage will ensue

i think leading is pretty bad here, c/r flop looks better + looks more bluffish

c/r is also better b/c its early at the FT and most people tend to play pretty straightforwardly until it is shorthanded. a lead and c/r will put a pp to the same tough decision but you will pick up dead money from c-bets with a c/r

Pot is 400K on flop villain has 1500K behind, if he conts 300 and the pot is 700, I don't think there is any check raise amount that makes him think he has FE.

I think I a lead of 250K is best to get raised, or a c/r jam to look bluffy to get called as thin as A high. (with my usual image c/r jam is best)
